What brands are good quality and not too expensive? What are the basic tools?

It all depends on what kind of jewelry you are making, ie beaded, metal, of gemstone type?????? If beaded is what you are after almost every city has a specialty store and they are generally quite helpful and once you get an idea of what you want you can shop around for the best price.

Hi.Jewelry making or designing tools differ from material to material .
It's not necessary that tools used for gold is also used for for diamond or platinum.
